“Close enough, but out of town”
The Bird House is located almost mid-way between Austin and Dripping Springs. It is a mile off of Fitzhugh Road, an on-the-rise destination for lovers of food and drink. There are many breweries and distilleries within just a few minutes and some within walking distance.
Many of our guests come to stay while they attend a wedding at one of the many venues that make Dripping Springs a leading wedding destination.
The Bird House is in the country, with miles of almost empty roads to walk – some still unsurfaced. However, it is only about 20-30 minutes to downtown Austin when the traffic is kind. If you’re coming to the Austin area for work but would rather not stay in town – you will enjoy the peace of the Bird House.

When you go on vacation, you just want to relax. We have tried to provide everything you need to do just that.
Sit on the deck in a rocker, wrapped in a blanket to watch the sun rise and sip your coffee. Watch the birds feeding nearby. Grill some steaks on the gas-grill and cook in the kitchen with its full kitchen and collection of condiments. Walk on the quiet roads and enjoy the wildlife and tranquility.
There is also wifi, a smart-TV, DVD player, shower, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, books, games, and jigsaws.
